Aspiran - un granarium émerge des berges de l’Hérault ?
Conduite en juillet 2017 au lieu-dit « l’Estagnola » à Aspiran dans l’Hérault, la fouille menée sur la berge du fleuve a permis de mettre au jour l’extrémité d’un vaste bâtiment, qui a probablement
servi au stockage de grains. Édifié au début des années 70 après J.-C., il reste en fonction jusque dans le courant du IIe siècle avant d’être réoccupé puis définitivement démantelé. Cette découverte exceptionnelle corrobore encore un peu plus l’hypothèse d’installations portuaires fluviales dans cette zone.
